Environmental Center Schwarzwald-Baar-Neckar

Dhe SBN Environmental Center is run by the Schwarzwald-Baar-Neckar Environmental Center Association and has been in existence for over 10 years. It is the only extracurricular learning center in the Schwarzwald-Baar district for environmental education and sustainable action. It also serves as a meeting place for environmental and nature conservation experts. The basic environmental education program includes an extensive school program for schools in the district as well as nature tours through the Schwenninger Moos and into the bird world of an important bird migration area. Team-building activities in the countryside get company employees actively involved in the region’s environment. Lectures, workshops and seminars cover a wide range of topics, from the production of ointments to regional nature conservation and environmentally friendly technology. In addition, there are strong and constructive collaborations with environmental and nature conservation associations, environmental organizations, municipal institutions and local businesses, which have created a comprehensive network. This enables a wide range of topics to be presented at the center. Funded projects and projects with cooperation partners are carried out, initiated or jointly supervised by the UWZ. Cooperation with the regional economy is an important feature of the center.
